ABOUT THE CUVÉE
The Duvault Blochet cuvée from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a celebration of the past, a respectful nod to Jacques-Marie Duvault, a man who saw the inestimable potential of this estate. Produced from a late harvest, this Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru is a testimony to patience and insight. Waiting a few extra days after the first harvest was a bold decision, but it paid off, literally and metaphorically.
Upon opening, this wine reveals a bouquet of ripe red fruits which invades the nose. These aromas are supported by a solid but elegant tannin structure, which gives the wine impressive depth. On the palate, roundness and richness are the key words, echoing the generosity of the late harvest. Although already sumptuous in its youth, Duvault Blochet shows remarkable aging potential. Over time, it will evolve, gaining in complexity and nuances, to offer, after several years in the cellar, an even more refined and memorable taste experience.
